The apartment is located in a tenement house from 1937, on Filtrowa Street in the Stara Ochota neighbourhood of Warsaw. The project included a partial reconstruction of the living area. We got rid of a smaller room in order to obtain one large area, which included: a kitchen with a dining room, a living room and an office. One of the main aims of the project was to keep in mind and refer to its historical character. The apartment has been equipped with furniture and accessories designed, among others, by Loft Kolasiński, Finn Juhl, Sami Kallio and Josef Hurka. The Brazilian Punk XL lamp (Loft Kolasiński) was designed and made especially for the project. A unique piece of the apartment’s furnishings are armchairs from the 1960s, which have undergone specialist renovation.
A photograph by Helmut Newton was used to decorate the walls. The Filtry 2 project was an interesting challenge, as all the main walls of the apartment are built on an arched plan.
The Warszawa Filtry 2 project is our fifth project in the Stara Ochota neighbourhood and the second one on Filtrowa Street.
